Embracing the Stream
Dimensions 68”H x 36”W x 20”D
Medium Patinated Bronze on Italian Red Marble
In the high plains of Colorado, water has always been a vital resource. The tiny creeks and streams that swell in the spring runoff season become cracked earth and exposed rocks during the dry seasons. This monumental sculpture honors thoughtful planning when abundant water has followed gravity downstream and only determination ensures our existence. MIE Properties commissioned this work, and the two sides honor both the dry season and the abundance of water as a gift.
